Pawan Hans Ltd. inaugurates its helicopter services on six routes in Assam on 8th February, 2023. These new helicopter services launched under the RCS UDAN scheme will provide connectivity on the “Dibrugarh-Jorhat-Tezpur-Guwahati-Tezpur-Jorhat-Dibrugarh” network. RCS UDAN of the Ministry of Civil Aviation is giving special impetus to providing air connectivity to the remote places of the northeastern states which have inadequate rail and road connectivity.

Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Communications and Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the ‘Digital Payments Utsav’, a comprehensive campaign aimed at promoting digital payments across India on 9th feb 2023. “Digital Payments Utsav” is an extraordinary campaign that will showcase India’s journey of digital transformation, with a series of events and initiatives to be held from 9th February to 9th October 2023. 28 DigiDhan Awards were presented to top-performing banks, bankers, and fintech companies in different categories for their outstanding performance in the digital payments space.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have entered into Memorandum of Under Standing for development of renewable energy-based projects on 03 Jan 2023. The MoU envisages to collaborate for Development of grid connected and off-grid Renewable Energy based Power Projects and solutions to supply round the clock renewable energy which shall cater to requirement of HPCL and NGEL or any other customer mutually decided by NGEL & HPCL.

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has implemented the Gram Ujala Programme under which energy efficient LED bulbs of 7W and 12W were distributed in exchange of 60W and 100W incandescent bulb respectively, at Rs.10 per LED bulb in rural areas. Under Gram UJALA, 1 Crore LED bulbs have been distributed in rural areas of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana (5 States) as a Pilot Project.

The first Inter-Regional AC link (220 kV) was established between Eastern Region (ER)-North Eastern Region (NER) in 1992. The large-scale grid integration started in 2003 with establishment of 400 kV Rourkela-Raipur Double circuit (D/c) line, interconnecting Eastern Region-Western Region. The synchronous National Grid was established in 2013 after commissioning of 765 kV Solapur- Raichur lines, interconnecting Western Region (WR)-Southern Region (SR), fulfilling “One Nation-One Grid-One Frequency”. In January 2019, the 220kV Srinagar-Leh Transmission System was commissioned which connected the remote Leh region to the Nation Grid.
