The State Governments and UTs administrations celebrated World Wetlands Day (WWD) at all 75 Ramsar sites. In Jammu and Kashmir, citizens took a pledge to conserve wetlands at Wular Lake. In Haryana, a workshop for students was organized at Sultanpur National Park, Haryana. In SarsaiNawar, Uttar Pradesh, a bird watching session for
students was organized. In Bihar, a workshop for citizens and students was organized at the State’s Ramsar Site Kanwar Jheel, Begusarai. Bird festival organised at Bakhira Wildlife Sanctuary (Uttar Pradesh). Wetland pledge administered at Yashwant Sagar (Madhya Pradesh). In Manipur, Chief Minister Shri N Biren Singh conveyed a special message on World Wetlands Day. Public Seminar and a series of events were held at Loktak Lake. In Odisha, Special functions were held at Tampara Lake and Ansupa Lakes.

Indian Railways has come up with a very special tour Garvi Gujarat to showcase the cultural & Spiritual Heritage of Vibrant Gujarat State by running its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. This train, operated by IRCTC, will depart on 28th Feb 2023 from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on 8 days tour for covering a distance of 3500kms. Boarding &
deboarding facility is provided at Gurugram, Rewari, Ringas, Phullera & Ajmer Railway Stations for convenience of tourists. The visit of World’s tallest statue – Statue of Unity, Champaner archaeological park which is a UNESCO world heritage site, Adhlej Step Well, Akshardham Temple at Ahmedabad, Sabarmati Ashram, Modhera Sun Temple and the Rani ki Vao another UNESCO site at Patan are the major heritage treasures included in the tour itinerary.

Guwahati, Assam will host the first Youth20 (Y20) Inception Meeting 2023 from 6th-8th Feb, 2023 under G20. The Y20 themes are Future of Work: Industry 4.0, Innovation and 21st century; Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction: Making Sustainability as a Way of Life; Peace Building and Reconciliation: Ushering in an Era of No War; Shared Future: Youth in Democracy and Governance; Health, Wellbeing & Sports: Agenda for Youth. The 3-day long Y-20 Inception Meet will conclude on the 8th of February 2023.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is hosting the 6th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) SAI Leaders’ Meeting in Lucknow beginning on 6th Feb 2023. The heads of SAIs from four countries – Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, alongside the CAG of India, are expected to take part in the three-day multilateral event.

Jupiter beats Saturn to become the planet with the most moons. Astronomers have discovered 12 new moons around Jupiter, now it becomes 92 moons around Jupiter. That’s more than any other planet in our solar system. Saturn, the one-time leader, comes in a close second with 83 confirmed moons. They were discovered using telescopes in Hawaii and Chile in 2021 and 2022, and their orbits were confirmed with follow-up observations. These newest moons range in size from 0.6 miles to 2 miles (1 kilometer to 3 kilometers).
